Post-MBA Certificate

The Rutgers Post-MBA Certificate program consists of a minimum of five classes or 15 credits of elective courses. It is structured to give you maximum flexibility in meeting your individual career needs and is an easy way for you to update your degree and incorporate the most contemporary topics in business.

    The Custom Certificate

    You may prefer to customize your certificate to help you meet specific challenges in your job, or to redirect your career. Pick from the many new electives that have been added in recent years, or use the opportunity to choose courses you wish you had taken as a graduate student. You may select from the list of available Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick electives.

    *Additional Concentration Option*

    In addition to receiving the post-MBA certificate, if you're an alumnus of Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick, you can have an additional concentration added to your official transcript. Simply select and successfully complete the elective courses required for the concentration. In addition to traditional concentrations in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Management, courses in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship have been added as available options. Please note: The Pharmaceutical Management concentration requires 18 credit hours. Several of these courses are only being offered during the day.

    Professional Accounting

    The Post-MBA Certificate will offer a concentration in Professional Accounting. This Post-MBA Certificate will require a minimum of 18 credits.  The courses taken in this Post-MBA Certificate program may allow a student with an MBA to meet the requirements for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in both New Jersey and New York State. In order to meet the CPA requirements, students may have to take up to 36 credits including courses in Accounting, Business Law, Economics and Finance. The actual number of courses required will depend on the candidates prior course work and the state of licensure. Classes are only given during the day on a space available basis.

    The Post-MBA Certificate in Professional Accounting can also be used to satisfy the pre-requisites for MS in Financial Accounting Program.

    Alumni of Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick: Register over the phone by calling Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick Office of Student Services: (973) 353-5275. No application forms, fees, or transcripts are required.

    Applicants holding MBA degrees from other AACSB-accredited schools: Register by completing a brief application. Send it with a copy of your transcript showing the date your MBA degree was awarded, and a $65 application fee (checks or money orders made payable to “Rutgers, The State University”) to:

    Please Note: Students enrolled in this 15-credit program are considered non-matriculating for purposes of determining eligibility to use the MBA Career Services Office. Use of that office is limited to fully matriculated students or alumni of Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick. Alumni use is subject to restrictions and fees in accordance with school policy.
